Do I Qualify for Concessions?

Women Outdoors’s mission is to ensure all Women who are experiencing physical, mental or financial challenges are supported to move their lives forward through access to life enhancing outdoor opportunities. Current funding will be used to offer a 75% price reduction on all hiking, and hiking & Wild Swimming Events. Currently concessions does not include camping weekends and events led by our third-party suppliers. We hope to offer concessions on these events later in the year subject to funding. 

If you need transportation getting to the event please contact emma.winter@womenoutdoorsuk.com, funding and support can be provided to get you there by providing either train tickets, bus tickets or arranging care share.

Eligibility

Concession pricing will be offered to those who are:

  • in full-time education
  • receiving an income support style benefit (Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independent Payment, Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit)

How to apply

To apply please email emma.winter@womenoutdoorsuk.com, attaching a copy of one of the following for proof of identity:

  • driving licence showing your name and address
  • passport showing your name
  • national identity card showing your name and address
  • utility bill (from the last 3 months) showing your name and address
  • bank statement (from the last 3 months) showing your name and address (feel free to blank out transactions) 

plus one of the following for proof of eligibility:

  • in full-time education: Student card or letter from your college/university (which must name you and confirm that you are in full-time education. We do not accept NUS Extra/TOTUM, or other discount schemes)
  • receiving an income support style benefit (letter or document naming you as a current recipient of this benefit)

Rest assured that all information provided will be treated in confidence and deleted once it has been verified.

Once approved you can book concessionary events for one year without having to follow the above process. There is an annual cap of £250 concessionary benefit per person.
