Come and join Women Outdoors on a guided hike up Scafell & wild swimming weekend, for a challenging but rewarding opportunity to gain some perspective on this remarkable landscape. See spectacular views with our expert Mountain Leader teaching you all about the mountain, its plants, conservation and it’s history.
Whether you are a complete beginner looking to get into Wild Swimming or have previous experience, there will be an opportunity for wild swimming on the Friday evening, after the Scafell summit and the following day (Sunday) after a small hike. Our wild swim spot is Wastwater Lake which has a lovely beach outside the front door of our accommodation! 3 miles long, Wastwater is a glacier lake formed in a over deepened valley. If you would like to paddle you can bring your own paddleboard or kayak. If you would like to paddle but don’t have your own craft please contact Emma for craft hire options (contact details at the bottom of the description).
A detailed itinerary will be sent to all booked guests before the event. There will also be a WhatsApp group set up prior the event so you ladies can organise car share and get chatting before the weekend trip!
