Event Description
Start Paddleboarding and experience your first session learning useful skills for an enjoyable paddling experience, provide you with the basic knowledge to enable you to safely get out on your craft, make it move and return to your start point. This is your first step into the world of paddleboarding, ensuring you feel safe, confident and ready to progress to the Discover Award where you will progress your skills during a 5km paddle to develop your planning, decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, taking you on the next steps towards becoming a proficient and independent paddler.
What’s Included:
– Qualified & experienced guide / instructor
– All paddling equipment: paddleboard, paddle, leash and buoyancy aid
– Start award qualification
Please note we may advise to hire a wetsuit, this will be weather dependant. We will advise closer to the time. There are wetsuit hire facilities at Tittesworth and it will be an extra £3.50 on top of the price paid for this event.
We will set up a WhatsApp group prior the event to share all the details you need and allow you ladies to chat to each other before the event.
What do I need to bring with me?
Water: bring at least 1 litre of water or something to drink
Medication: if you have hay fever, diabetes, minor aliments etc
Snacks: bring biscuits, energy bars, gels, bananas, chocolate or dried fruit for example. Put them in an easy reach area.
Packed lunch: bring a pack lunch unless otherwise stated
Hat or cap: stay warm in the winter and shaded in the summer
Gloves: weather dependant
Sunscreen: can be useful even on cloudy days
