Get out on the water with a paddle down the Cromford Canal Heritage Trail departing from Cromford Wharf, Derbyshire. Judith, a fully qualified and experienced paddle instructor will guide you down the canal with beautiful views of the countryside. The journey is around 4.8km (3 miles) and will take you past the historic warehouses and the old Victorian Lea Wood pump house.
The trail is a wild life paradise and a Site of Special Scientific Interest so keep a look out for the little grebes and water voles who can be seen throughout the year. In summer look out for dragonflies, damselflies and hoverflies. Your paddle down the canal will be a relaxing journey where you can enjoy your surroundings from the unique perspective of the canal.
