What we’ll do
Bouldering, abseiling and rope climbing
Event Description
Women Outdoors are really excited to have teamed up with The Peak Climbing School to give you the full climber experience. The Peak is home to some of the finest climbing in the world and, led by an experienced instructor team, this session is the perfect place to have a go and experience climbing outside. The Peak Climbing School instructors are experts at building a session around the groups needs and we will have the option to try a mix of bouldering, abseiling and roped climbing. If you’re brand new to climbing or have some experience there will be something in this session for you. The Peak Climbing School like small instructor to student ratios (maximum 8) so if the event fills there will be multiple instructors to maximise climbing time. All climbing equipment will be provided, all you need is comfortable clothing and food and drink for the day.
Itinerary
The start time and meeting point is 9:30am at The Peak Climbing School just outside of Leek. Here the instructor will brief you on the days activity whilst having a free brew and biscuit. From here we will set off to the crag for an exciting days learning. We sometimes use areas further away from our centre so you can get the most out of your course, therefore some transport is advantageous. However if you are struggling for transport please let us know so we can arrange some for you.
What do I need to bring with me?
All climbing kit will be provided, you will need to bring;
-Comfortable Clothing
-Packed lunch
-Something to drink
-Sunscreen (can be useful even on the cloudy days)
