Event Description
Standup paddlebording is a fun & accessible water sport for all ages. It’s a great way to explore the outdoors whilst also getting a full body work out.
The 1.5 hour session will teach you everything you need to get up and going on your SUP, how to turn, stop and how to get back on safely if you fall off, it happens to us all!
This is your first step into the world of paddleboarding, ensuring you feel safe, confident and ready to progress to an intermediate level.
Women Outdoors also provides intermediate level sessions where you will go on a 5km journey and progress your skills to develop your planning, decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, taking you on the next steps towards becoming a proficient and independent paddler.
What’s Included:
– Qualified & experienced guide / instructor
– All paddling equipment: paddleboard, paddle, leash and buoyancy aid
We will set up a WhatsApp group prior the event to share all the details you need and allow you ladies to chat to each other before the event.
What do I need to bring with me?
Water: bring at least 1 litre of water or something to drink
Medication: if you have hay fever, diabetes, minor aliments etc
Snacks: bring biscuits, energy bars, gels, bananas, chocolate or dried fruit for example. Put them in an easy reach area.
Hat or cap: stay warm in the winter and shaded in the summer
Gloves: weather dependant
Sunscreen: can be useful even on cloudy days
